Mexico, Missouri: In honor of Mexico native and Los Angeles Clippers head coach Tyronn Lue, the Mexico Chamber of Commerce is partnering with coach Tyronn Lue’s Commitment To Community (C2C) initiative to host the eighth annual Community Day of Service on September 20, 2024. This is the first year that C2C is a co-sponsor of the event.
“The best way to honor Coach Tyronn Lue’s commitment to Mexico and his investment in children is to do what he does best: give back. We hope the whole community finds a way to get involved,” said Dana Keller, director of the Mexico Chamber of Commerce.
All students from public schools from preschool through 8th grade, St. Brendan’s and the Missouri Military Academy participate. In addition, Mexico High School students incorporate community service initiatives into the festivities during Homecoming week. Projects range from special one-day projects to launching annual campaigns and fundraisers to beautifying the community.
In recognition of Coach Lue’s incredible commitment to our community, we are working hard to increase participation from civic organizations and businesses in Mexico City. There is a place for everyone. To register events with the Chamber, email [email protected] or call 573-581-2765.
