According to the National Weather Service in Wilmington, a cold front will move eastward across the region on Friday, ending the lingering threat of precipitation. Early morning clouds will be replaced by increasing sunshine in the afternoon.
Maximum temperatures will be between 25 and 30 degrees in the northwest and 27 to 30 degrees in the southeast. Maximum temperatures on Saturday will be between 24 and 27 degrees with sunny skies. It will continue to be dry over the next few weeks.
The next chance of precipitation could come towards the end of the work week, but at this point the chances are low. Highs on Sunday will be just above 27 degrees.
