Brilyn Hollyhand, RNC Youth Advisory Council, visits Republican Women

Published on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, 5:51 p.m.

The Pike County Republican Women’s Club welcomed Brilyn Hollyhand, chair of the Republican National Committee’s Youth Advisory Council, to its monthly lunchtime meeting at the Troy Country Club on Wednesday.

Hollyhand is a Tuscaloosa native and founder and editor-in-chief of the Truth Gazette.

Hollyhand is an 18-year-old political commentator and strategist who has been capturing the nation’s attention with his unique opinions and analysis since the age of 11.

“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to travel across the country during the most exciting election season of all. And now the time has come!” Hollyhand told members of the Republican Women’s Club and guests.

He acknowledged that the Republican Party had built up its defenses. “Now we have to go on the offensive,” he said in the packed dining room. “We have to stay on course. So we have to set the course and stay that course.”

Hollyhand repeatedly emphasized the important role young voters are playing and will continue to play in the 2024 presidential election.

“In this presidential election, it’s time to be bold and speak out,” Hollyhand said. “We can’t stand back; we have to boldly step forward.”

As the 2024 presidential election approaches, it is important for voters to ask themselves, “Are we better off than we were four years ago?” Hollyhand said.

If not, why?

Hollyhand said it is extremely important that everyone asks themselves these questions and considers their answers when voting.

“Are we better off today? Are we concerned about our individual future and that of our country?” asked Hollyhand. “We must not lose the security of living in a free country. The voters will decide what life in the United States will look like in the next four years. We must not miss that.”
