Wildcats Football returns with new season on BCE TV

Sent

As regional soccer teams prepare for the upcoming 2024 season, BCE TV is preparing to bring games directly into local fans’ living rooms via the internet for another year.

BCE TV has been around for 12 years and offers live local coverage of the Warsaw Wildcats every Friday night via laptop, Chromebook or any mobile device.

“Given the Internet and its capabilities, we recognized both the need and opportunity to cover the local schools in our area,” said James White, publisher of the Benton County Enterprise Company.

White continued, “BCE TV is a link that can be accessed at www.citylinktv.com. Viewers can also find it directly on our website at www.bentoncountyenterprise.com. Viewers can watch the games on a smart TV, phone, tablet or laptop.”

Over the years, several upgrades have been required and additional optional modifications have been added to improve the transmissions.

“As with everything else, we’ve had to upgrade some equipment and software,” White said. “There have been connectivity issues in some of the more remote locations, but for the most part, we’ve always been able to resolve those issues immediately and deliver the games to fans the way they expect.”

Newer features in 2024 include the ability to provide a live scoreboard that will be displayed on the spectator’s screen throughout the game, complete with graphics.

“People have always told us they wanted a scoreboard on our broadcast, so we’ve really worked on perfecting that this year,” White said proudly. “In the past, fans have had to rely on the commentators to announce the scores, but they don’t have to do that as much now.”

An additional feature this year will allow broadcasters to highlight starting lineups and individual players during the game.

The crew for all Warsaw broadcasts during the 2024 season will consist of Matt Dove and Drew Burdick. Adam Howe will accompany them in the dressing room at all away games.

Dove will provide live commentary for the Wildcats and Burdick will provide game stats. Howe will provide additional commentary for away games.

“BCE TV is a great way for former players, fans and coaches to learn about their teams no matter where they are in the world,” Dove said. “It’s a great way to stay connected.”

BCE TV production also promotes and supports the connection between the school and its respective community, as there are several advertising options available for businesses and organizations to show their support. The most popular are full video commercials, either already produced or filmed and produced by the BCE TV production team, but other advertising options include logos and/or “live readings” performed by the broadcast team.

Every game broadcast is always archived for later viewing.

“BCE TV’s archive feature is very popular because it allows family and friends to watch the game on the weekend or even later if they can’t watch it live on Friday night,” said White.

In 2024, Wildcats fans can expect a full schedule of games. It’s Friday Night Football, LIVE and archived on BCE TV.
