Tim Tebow supports a company in Ohio that gives former prisoners a second chance.

Nehemiah Manufacturing has been providing jobs to “hard-to-place candidates” since 2009 and is working to “bring manufacturing jobs back to downtown Cincinnati to stimulate community development and economic growth,” the company’s website states.

“Many employees who come to Nehemiah Manufacturing simply need a chance to prove themselves,” the website states. “They may show up with a patchy work history or no professional history – or a tainted resume in some way. These hard-to-hire candidates are invisible to most companies. But not to us. Because we know that giving people a chance is the right thing to do.”

CEO Dan Meyer told CBN News, “It was an Old Testament prophet who was called by God to rebuild Jerusalem brick by brick. And when we wanted to come downtown and start this company almost 15 years ago, we wanted to help those most in need.”

“Some of our family members have spent over 20 years in prison,” explained Kristen Schumacher, production manager at Nehemiah Manufacturing. “They never thought they would be able to afford a car, let alone a job. And then to have the support they have here, they never thought possible. Our family members feel supported like never before. And that translates into loyalty.”

Tebow and his wife Demi-Leigh have partnered with Nehemiah Manufacturing and praise the company for its work.

“Nehemiah Manufacturing is a special place,” Tebow said in a promotional video. “When we had the privilege and opportunity to go there for the first time, it really hit us in the eye and in the heart. Meeting the people, hearing their stories, but then also seeing how they were treated. When we saw that, we thought, this is something we want to be a part of.”

In a statement about the partnership, Schumacher said, “This partnership is very close to our hearts. We share a common vision with Tim and Demi and a deep desire to touch lives and make a difference every day, one person at a time. It is a true honor to welcome Tim and Demi to the Nehemiah family and we look forward to all that lies ahead!”

Movieguide® previously reported on the Tebows’ partnership with Nehemiah Manufacturing:

He and his wife Demi-Leigh also talked about their partnership with Nehemiah Manufacturing, a company that Work to “build brands, create jobs and change the lives” of people who may have difficulty finding work, such as people with criminal records.

“Yes, it’s a manufacturing company, and they do incredible work with everyday products that we all use in incredible ways,” Tebow said. explained“But the thing about it is that people and we should believe in second chances, because Grace gave us all a second chance first, and we have to believe in giving people a second and a third and a fifth and an eleventh chance. Because that’s what Grace is all about.”

Demi-Leigh explained how Nehemiah Manufacturing is working to achieve its goals.

“They have eight pillars where they all support their employees, stand by them and help them write that comeback story,” she said. “They offer their employees financial support, training and things like affordable housing.”
