Although weddings are a union of two hearts, it is usually the bride’s day. Many women dream of the perfect wedding where they will receive all the love and attention from their friends and family. But sometimes all it takes is one bad sheep to ruin the bride’s day. This May, a 28-year-old woman known on Reddit as u/kimberlyn008 shared a story about a “petty wedding revenge” that occurred between her two friends, Sarah and Taylor. The two women were engaged around the same time, and drama ensued when Taylor wore white to Sarah’s wedding.

The friend said Taylor often tried to upstage Sarah’s wedding preparations. “Whenever Sarah had something to do (dress shopping, bridal shower, etc.), Taylor would make an effort to remind the other girls not to wear white because it’s just for the bride,” the woman explained. Taylor was often “passive-aggressive” toward Sarah’s wedding plans and tried to steal the show by comparing her choices. Things really got twisted when Taylor a white Floral dress for Sarah’s wedding. Although there were floral patterns, the dress was mostly white and u/kimberlyn008 found this a faux pas.

“Sarah’s mother confronted Taylor about the dress and she said it was okay to wear it because it had a floral pattern. It wasn’t all white,” the woman mentioned. Taylor gave the same justification to Sarah when she was shocked by this attempt to outshine her. However, being the witty woman she is, Sarah calmly accepted Taylor’s explanation and said she understood, only to later exact petty revenge. At Taylor’s wedding, Sarah wore the same white floral dress, which sparked an outcry from the angry bride. The woman explained in a comment that Sarah found out about Taylor’s white dress through her public Pinterest board and ordered the same one to wear at her wedding.

When Taylor asked her about it, Sarah had an epic response: “But don’t you remember? You wore that to my wedding! You were absolutely right about the pattern! It’s so beautiful!” When Taylor tried to explain that her dress was mostly florals with a little white, Sarah silenced her with her wedding photos as proof. “See! Now we’re twins!” Sarah joked at Taylor. She made sure that every wedding guest who asked about the white dress knew what Taylor wore to her wedding. “The two haven’t spoken since, and I will continue to praise my friend for having the balls I’ll never have,” the woman concluded.
