No Gain No Love is an ongoing K-drama series starring Shin Min Ah and Kim Young Dae. The series premiered on August 26, 2024, and the release of the first episode raised high expectations among fans. On August 27, 2024, pre-release stills from episode 2 of No Gain No Love were released, featuring Shin Min Ah in a beautiful dress. Her character in the series is a hardworking but logical person who values her financial stability above all else. To get a chance at a promotion at her workplace, she decides to throw a fake wedding and asks Kim Young Dae to pretend to be her husband.
As part of her ruse, she goes to the bridal shop and buys a white dress for her “wedding.” Kim Young Dae also accompanies her, who later also chooses his tuxedo that he will wear as the bride’s groom. Both of them take all the necessary steps to make the wedding look as real as possible so that Shin Min Ah has a real chance of climbing the career ladder.
The plot centers on Son Hae Yeong, a woman determined to avoid financial setbacks. When faced with the possibility that her promotion is in jeopardy, she devises a plan that involves a staged wedding and recruits Kim Ji Uk, a kind-hearted cashier at a supermarket, to play the role of her fake partner.
Although their relationship is initially on shaky ground, Kim Ji Uk agrees to be her pretend fiancé, which leads to unforeseen developments and touching experiences.
In addition to Shin Min Ah and Kim Young Dae, the show’s cast includes Lee Sang Yi, Han Ji Hyun, Jeon Hye Won, Lee Yoo Jin, Joo Min Kyung and others. The romantic comedy, directed by Kim Jung Shik and written by Kim Jung Shik, is scheduled to premiere on August 26, 2024 on South Korean channel tvN.
