ALBUQUERQUE, NM (WHAT KIND OF TECHNOLOGY?) — When you search for something online, you probably use Google, but the search engine Perplexity calls itself a “Google killer.”

Perplexity also has a lot to offer. Around a billion dollars have been invested in the search engine and it also advertises that it uses AI to deliver more precise results.

So search for something as if you were asking a person, “Why is it hot in the summer and cold in the winter?” Perplexity will search the internet in those languages ​​and return an answer, just as if you were asking a super-intelligent person to explain it.

If you search for the same question on Google, you will get answers, but mostly links to websites and articles.

I used Perplexity to search a variety of questions, from help buying an electric guitar to the best cooking oils. Each time, the results explained the answer to my search and cited a few websites, including related discussions on Reddit.

The paid version of Perplexity finds or creates matching images to the results, rewrites the content, adds graphics, and my name and photo for a blog post.

Confusion may not be a Google killer, but I’ve found that in some situations it’s much easier to get the results you’re looking for quickly in a language you understand.
