The 2025 Ford Bronco Sport offers more power to better compete with the exploding off-road SUV market. For 2025, the Bronco Sport will add some features already popular on its big brother, the Bronco. The Sport adds one-pedal drive to its Trail Control, making the vehicle easier to control when climbing over rocks. Ford is also giving the Bronco Sport a new drive mode called GOAT, or Goes Over Any Type of Terrain. The biggest off-road addition is a heavy-duty Sasquatch package, similar to the version found on the larger Bronco.

“Bronco Sport customers love the great outdoors and drive off-road 3.5 times more than owners of competing vehicles and camp twice as often,” said Matt Simpson, general manager of Ford Enthusiast Vehicles. “They want to know they can overcome the obstacles that come their way. That’s what led our designers and engineers to take the Bronco Sport to new levels of power and capability so our customers can do more and have more fun off-road.”

2025 Bronco Sport Sasquatch Off-Road Package

The new Sasquatch package is modeled after the package for the full-size Bronco. Sasquatch for Bronco Sport includes larger tires. Bronco Sport Sasquatch rides on 29-inch 235/65/R17 Goodyear Territory All Terrain tires, the largest in their class. Developed specifically for Bronco Sport Sasquatch, the tire is borrowed from the Bronco and has an open tread pattern and reinforced sidewalls to provide traction on a variety of surfaces.

The Sasquatch package is available on both the 1.5-liter Bronco Sport Outer Banks and the 2.0-liter Badlands. The enhanced capability starts with an extremely robust dual-clutch rear-wheel drive and a limited-slip rear differential. Previously only available on the Bronco Sport Badlands, it is now available for the first time to Bronco Sport Outer Banks customers.

“There’s a Sasquatch for every Bronco Sport customer who needs that next level of capability and confidence,” Simpson said.

The Sasquatch upgrade includes new Bilstein rear shocks with position-sensitive damping. The Bilstein shocks offer a wider range of compression and rebound damping capabilities to absorb extreme events at higher speeds. New front and rear springs increase ride height by four-tenths of an inch over the current Bronco Sport Badlands.

According to Ford, “The Bronco Sport Sasquatch combines its enhanced suspension and off-road technology with a front skid plate, steel skid plates and modular, accessory-ready front and rear bumpers with steel skid plates as the first point of contact. Four tow points – two accessory-ready cast tow hooks in the front and a pair of cast D-rings on the rear bumper – are designed to meet Ford’s off-road recovery requirements.”

“While other small SUVs just look rugged, the Bronco Sport is built tough inside and out and from top to bottom,” said Eddie Khan, Bronco Sport’s director of vehicle engineering. “The Bronco Sport has earned the right to call itself Built Wild with Sasquatch.”

New technology for the Bronco Sport 2025

All 2025 Bronco Sport models come standard with a 13.2-inch touchscreen, the largest central display in its class. There’s also a Bronco Raptor-inspired 12.3-inch digital instrument display and Co-Pilot 360 Assist+.

The 2025 Bronco Sport SUV features an optional 360-degree camera with class-exclusive Trail View. The Bronco Sport Badlands model and Sasquatch Badlands package offer an optional 360-degree camera with class-exclusive Split View that shows the front tires using the cameras below the side mirrors.

Other technical improvements to the 2025 Bronco include:

  • Blind spot information system with cross traffic warning
  • Lane departure warning, lane departure warning and driver warning
  • Pre-Collision Assist with automatic emergency braking (includes pedestrian detection, forward collision warning and dynamic brake support)
  • Rear view camera with rear parking sensors
  • Adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go and lane centering
  • Evasive steering assistant

The 2025 Bronco Sport also adopts another popular Bronco feature called Bronco Bolts. Marked with the words “Accessory Ready” and the bucking Bronco logo, Bronco Bolts identify parts that owners can swap out as needed. Both the front and rear bumpers are new and add modular points where owners can attach a range of accessories, such as brush bars and driving lights or mounts for dune flags. New, segment-exclusive tie-downs on the front fenders give customers another point to secure roof cargo and gear. They’re rated for up to 150 pounds and stow inside the fenders.

“We know that Bronco Sport customers spend more on accessories than any other customer in this segment,” said Chief Designer Dan Kangas. “With that in mind, we designed the 2025 Bronco Sport to encourage creative interaction with customers, offering modularity and upgrade points that make adding new accessories easier than ever.”

When will we see the new Bronco Sport?

The 2025 Bronco Sport Big Bend, Outer Banks and Badlands models will go on sale in November. The upgraded Bronco Sport Sasquatch will be available in the first quarter of 2025. Pricing for all models will be announced closer to the on-sale date.
