Kelly Rutherford Lily van der Woodsen channeled during a speech at Ed Westwick And Amy Jackson‘s wedding.

“I’m really, really grateful for our friendship and being able to work with you has been a gift,” Rutherford, 55, said in a TikTok video uploaded on Sunday, August 25. “And to see you fall in love… I’m going to cry. No, it really is the most beautiful thing in life and you are such a wonderful man.”

Rutherford and Westwick, 37, played the lead roles in gossip Girl as Lily and Chuck Bass for six seasons. The wedding moment was reminiscent of the sweet relationship the characters developed on-screen, as Lily acted as Chuck’s stepmother even after the character split from Chuck’s evil father Bart (Robert John Burke).

Even after the series ended in 2012, Rutherford and Westwick remained close friends. Rutherford received an invitation to his and Jackson’s wedding in Italy over the weekend.

“The journey has just begun 💍,” Westwick wrote on Instagram on Sunday, sharing a series of photos from his and Jackson’s ceremony on the Amalfi Coast.

Before the couple headed off to their destination, they shared an insight into their stylish travels.

“Let’s get married baby! ❤️❤️❤️🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹 you need to change your IG name 😉 @iamamyjackson,” the actor wrote on Friday, August 23, under an Instagram carousel of photos of him and Jackson, 31.

Jackson and Westwick were first linked in June 2022 after they were spotted holding hands in London. The following month, the couple made things official on Jackson’s Instagram page.

A year later, Westwick recounted how the love story between him and Jackson began.

“We were separately invited to a race day with Aston Martin at the Silverstone circuit in 2021. I was there with a friend who knew them,” said Westwick HELLO! Magazine in October 2023. “I saw her and thought, ‘Now I’m going to do something!’ We chatted a bit and I asked her if she wanted to meet me for coffee.”

In January, Westwick proposed to the model during a romantic ski vacation in Switzerland. “Yes, definitely 💍,” Jackson wrote alongside a joint Instagram post with photos of the couple’s engagement in the mountains.

Two months after Jackson and Westwick announced their engagement, Rutherford gushed about how excited she was to attend the couple’s wedding later this year.

“I miss that character, but I’m still in touch with almost everyone from the show,” Rutherford said of her time on the set of Gossip Girl in an interview with Variety in March. “I’m going to Ed’s wedding and I’m so excited.”

The reunion of Westwick and Rutherford was not the only gossip Girl Meeting recently. Jessica Szohrwho played Vanessa in the series, married the hockey player Brad Richardson Beginning of the month with Chace Crawford (Nate Archibald) was present.
