Why it’s a great series for Lost fans: Many authors for Lost quoted the British science fiction thriller, The Prisoner – a successful 1960s drama that was rebooted as an AMC miniseries in 2009 – as an influence on the series, firstly because it is a mysterious drama set on an island from which there is no escape.

Why it’s a great series for Lost fans: By Baran bo Odar and Jantje Friese, the creators of the above-mentioned 1899, Dark is often compared with Lost for its penchant for shocking cliffhangers, supernatural elements, and an ominous tone toward characters, each of whom carries a worrying burden.

The citizens of Chester’s Mill, Maine, find themselves suddenly and inexplicably cut off from the rest of the world when a massive, transparent, indestructible force field appears and completely surrounds them.

Vaughn’s CBS TV show based on Stephen King’s 2009 novel, Under the domeis that they are actually at home, but are being held there against their will for unknown reasons.
