Women in HVACR Announces Sponsorship of ServiceTitan Elite Trades Championship Series

The group’s president speaks to students and trainees attending the event’s student summit

ENGLEWOOD, Colorado., 26 August 2024 /PRNewswire/ — Women in HVACR (WHVACR), a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering women in the heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration industries, today announced that it is a sponsor of the 2024 ServiceTitan Elite Trades Championship Series (ETCS) to be held at the Palm Beach County Convention Center in West Palm Beach, Floridafrom 11 to 13 September.

“This competition is like the Olympics for HVAC professionals as it showcases the best HVAC technicians and apprentices from across the country who will compete at an elite level,” said the Executive Director of Women in HVACR Amy O’Grady. “Women in HVACR is delighted to sponsor such an exciting event that celebrates the skills that hard-working men and women in this trade must demonstrate every day to ensure we stay warm in the winter and cool in the summer.”

The ServiceTitan ETCS Series is a competition for elite heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) industry professionals and apprentices to showcase their skills in a purpose-built arena. The program is designed to recognize the incredible range of skills that tradesmen and women demonstrate every day while installing, maintaining and repairing American HVAC systems.

In addition to the competition, the President of Women in HVACR, Lori Tschohlhas been selected as the keynote speaker for the ETCS Student & Apprentice Summit, which runs alongside the Championship competition. The Summit welcomes hundreds of students studying or training to become skilled tradespeople and offers them the opportunity to experience some light hands-on activities to gain a deeper understanding of the profession, explore potential career paths and network with industry professionals.

At the summit, Tschohl will give a 10-minute talk and then answer questions from students.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for women in HVACR to speak to the next generation of women about the benefits they have when they choose a career in the trades,” said Tschohl, owner of Eagle Pipe & Mechanical, a leading HVAC contractor in Poulsbo, WA. “We are excited about our role in the event and the Student Summit. Since 2002, Women in HVACR has worked to increase the number of women in the heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVACR) industry and help women succeed by providing members with a variety of opportunities to network and develop a professional environment through education and mentoring.
