“Waiting By the Phone”: Zoë Kravitz reveals that she is eagerly awaiting the script for the third season of “Big Little Lies”

Recently, Zoë Kravitz admitted that she knows as little as fans do about the long-awaited third season of Big Little Lies. In an interview with PEOPLE, Kravitz, who plays Bonnie Carlson in the popular HBO series, said she looks forward to news about the future of the show.

She said she’s been waiting on the phone for news and may finally get the script for the upcoming season. The 35-year-old actress admitted she has no idea what the show’s plot or her character will be like.

She expressed her excitement about returning to the role despite the uncertainty surrounding the future of the series. The actress explained that while one of her co-stars, Nicole Kidman, reportedly confirmed in 2023 that the series will return for a third season, no further information was shared with her or the rest of the cast. Despite this, she remained excited about the prospect of reprising her role.

Kravitz has been busy with her latest project, Blink Twice, while the future of Big Little Lies is still uncertain. Featuring an all-star cast that includes her fiancé Channing Tatum, Naomi Ackie, Simon Rex, Haley Joel Osment and Geena Davis, the psychological thriller marks her directorial debut.

At the premiere of Big Little Lies on August 8 in Los Angeles, Kravitz was overjoyed to see her co-stars Laura Dern and Reese Witherspoon. While they are all excited to see what happens next on the beloved series, their support was a poignant testament to the close bonds formed on set.

Kravitz described Dern and Witherspoon as incredibly cool, stressing that they are really supportive people despite their hectic schedules that include work and family obligations.

Kravitz explained that they don’t just talk about being there for others, but they also show it, both publicly and privately. She went on to say that while she wasn’t surprised by their attendance at the Blink Twice premiere, she thought it was great that they came to support her and the cast.

When asked about Bonnie’s future in “Big Little Lies,” Kravitz talked about how Bonnie’s story will evolve, particularly her relationship with her husband Nathan Carlson.

Lenny Kravitz recalled her time with Blink Twice and her personal growth during filming. In the film, 44-year-old Channing Tatum plays Slater King, a tech billionaire who tries to clear his name after being embroiled in wrongdoing. Ackie, 31, joins Tatum as Frida, a waitress who turns up as a guest at a prestigious black-tie event.
