Kinshuk Vaidya surprised everyone when he posted a picture of his engagement To Diiksha Nagpala choreographer, on August 23. Ask him why the event was held so discreetly and he explains: “The engagement was a intimate ceremony with only families and close friends as attendees. Both Diiksha and I were busy with work. We returned to Mumbai the day before the engagement and flew to different cities just a few hours after the event. If we had invited more people, we wouldn’t have been able to give them the attention they deserved.”
If the Wedding as intimate as the engagement? “Not quite. We are planning to organize something soon and will keep everyone updated. We will probably get married this year. Why wait?” answers the actor, who is best known as Child Artist Sanju in Boom Boom – The Great Adventure and was part of shows like Ek Rishta Saajhedari KaJaat Na Poocho Prem Ki and Woh Toh Hai Albelaa.
Kinshuk and Diiksha met at work years ago, but little did they know back then that they would be together forever. Kinshuk recalls, “Diiksha and I met at work in 2015 and became friends. Over time, we realized that our understanding and outlook on life were in sync, which is extremely important for any long-lasting relationship. That’s when we decided to take our friendship to the next level, and about a month ago, we set the date for our engagement. Although I’m usually the calmer and more composed one, she strangely has a calming effect on me. She helps me untangle any problems I may be facing and brings clarity to my thoughts. It’s remarkable how she always knows exactly what to say to bring me peace.”

Interestingly, the couple had no formal dating phase. “There wasn’t. We just knew. In fact, I proposed to Diiksha when we got engaged,” he concludes with a smile.
