Field of Light at Freedom Plaza, New York City’s large-scale, immersive, free public art installation made possible by the Soloviev Foundation, is proud to partner with Bronx Fisher House, Operation Gratitude, Semper Fi & America’s Fund, and Give an Hour this Labor Day weekend to welcome, honor, and support America’s troops and their families.

Active, off-duty and retired military members and their families are invited to enjoy Field of Light from Thursday, August 29 through Sunday, September 1. Special tickets and walk-up line accommodations are available in recognition of their service.

“Soloviev Group unwaveringly recognizes the dedication and contributions of America’s workers and military, both of whom make significant sacrifices for the good of our nation,” said Michael Hershman, CEO of Soloviev Group. “We are proud to congratulate all of those who bravely serve to protect and advance our country’s values and the common good.”

Operation Gratitude proudly delivers care packages to deployed troops, military children, recruits, veterans and first responders. Thanks to the generosity and dedication of the American people, Operation Gratitude has sent over 4,000,000 care packages to our soldiers and first responders since 2003.

With 97 homes around the world, including in the Bronx, the Fisher House program has been providing a home away from home for families of patients receiving medical care at major military and VA hospitals for over 30 years. Fisher Houses are professionally furnished and decorated, with common areas and private suites that can accommodate 16 to 42 family members while they focus on their loved one’s healing process.

Every day, Semper Fi & America’s Fund improves the lives of seriously wounded, ill and injured service members and military families through individualized case management, mentoring and lifelong support. By donating to comprehensive, innovative and proven programs that deliver immediate and long-term impact, the Fund ensures service members and military families have the resources they need during their recovery and while returning to their communities.

Founded in 2005 by Dr. Barbara Van Dahlen, Give an Hour® is a national organization dedicated to improving mental health by building strong and healthy individuals and communities. Specifically, it provides mental health support to people affected by man-made trauma through an innovative approach that empowers those affected to actively shape their own mental health journey.

Field of Light at Freedom Plaza is fully sponsored by the Soloviev Foundation and welcomes guests for free on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings from 8-11 p.m. Since opening in December, it has been visited by over 45,000 guests and neighbors. Reservations are now available through the end of 2024, and walk-ins are always welcome. Additionally, the installation is illuminated and visible from the grounds Sunday through Wednesday evenings. Visitors are encouraged to visit fieldoflightnyc.com to plan their free time and explore opportunities for community service events and engagements.
