Women’s soccer loses close game against Drexel 2-1

Philadelphia– Second game of the season for the Quakers and they finished the weekend with a 0-2 record.

The red and blues had a bumpy start at the beginning of the season, but their newcomer showed a promising performance.

* Three Quakers play the entire first half. Senior Maya LeschlySecond year student Clare Robkeand Freshman Isabella Zulli everyone played for 45 minutes straight.

*Newbie Hailey Adamsky makes her first college start

First semester Ariel Katz And Leigh Matter make their college debut.

*2nd year student Edie Priest makes her debut at Penn. The Arizona State transfer played 42 minutes in today’s game.

*Second-year students Taylor Ferraro, Karly Murlessand Annuli Okafor played their first game of the season.

How it happened
In the first 15 minutes of the game, the Dragons scored several shots. Maya Leschly and newbie Isabella Zulli blocked many of Drexel’s shots. The dynamic duo played the entire 90 minutes of the game and showed their determination and perseverance.

The first shots came from second graders Koch Abbey And Magali Capdevila.

Almost halfway through the first half, Liv Brocious scored in the 29th minute.th Minute of play, making it 1-0 for the Dragons.

To open the second half, Liv Brocious scored her second goal of the game in the 59th minute.th minute of play and extended their lead to 2-0. Austen initially made a save but was unable to secure the ball, allowing Brocious to score while Austen was still on the pitch.

Isabella Zulli received a yellow card towards the end of the second half.

Junior goalkeeper Annabel Austen finished the game with three saves that day.

The Quakers’ next game is again on the road on Thursday afternoon at 7 p.m., where they face the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks.
