Norway’s King and Queen will not appear in magazine photos of Princess Märtha Louise’s wedding

The King and Queen of Norway will not appear in exclusive magazine photos of their only daughter’s wedding.

Princess Märtha Louise will marry Durek Verrett on August 31 in Gerainger, Norway. Hello magazine and its sister publication Hola have the exclusive rights to cover the wedding. The celebrations, which will last three days, will also be filmed for a documentary for Netflix.

The decision to give a magazine exclusive coverage of the wedding and celebrations was criticized in some quarters.

Now the Norwegian royal family has confirmed that other members of the country’s royal family, including King Harald and Queen Sonja, will not take part in exclusive photos for the magazine.

A spokesman told NRK in Norway that the royal family would not be seen in the photos, as at major events like this they are usually seen in images that are available to all media.

Said:“We are aware that two media outlets have been granted exclusive rights to cover the wedding of Princess Martha Louise and Durek Verett. Members of the Royal Family will not be photographed or filmed by these two media outlets if the press does not otherwise have access to them.”

Princess Märtha Louise and Durek Verrett have already given “Hello” a first interview before their wedding, in which they talked about the obstacles to their romance.

It is not known whether some of her friends from other royal families will be present at her wedding and whether they will be photographed or filmed as part of the celebrations.
