A teenager has been arrested after eight people, including children, were hospitalized following a stabbing. The stabbing reportedly occurred near a Taylor Swift-themed dance and yoga class in the United Kingdom.
Officers responded to a property on Hart Street in Southport, a coastal town about 20 miles north of Liverpool, at around 11.50am on Monday, July 29, after receiving multiple reports of a stabbing, Merseyside Police said in a statement. Police added they “arrested a man and seized a knife”.
In an updated statement released later Monday, police confirmed that the man arrested in connection with the stabbing is a 17-year-old from Banks. Authorities did not identify him.
The suspect “remains in police custody and is being questioned about the incident,” police added.
