FDA announces recall of Bliss Tree Butter Snacks due to undeclared allergens

Washington, DC — The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has announced a nationwide recall of Bliss Tree Butter Snacks made by Sri Lakshmi Narasimhar Overseas LLC, based in Edison, New Jersey. The reason for the recall is undeclared milk and sesame, which pose serious risks to people with allergies.

The affected products include Butter Murukku, Ribbon Pakoda and Karasev in different sizes and varieties, sold through retail stores, online platforms and Amazon. The recall was triggered after an FDA review revealed that the allergens were missing from the packaging labels. This oversight was attributed to a temporary disruption in the company’s packaging processes. Visit the FDA’s recall page for specific items.

People with milk or sesame allergies risk life-threatening reactions if they consume these products. No illnesses have been reported to date. The company has stopped production and distribution until the problem is resolved.

Consumers are advised to return the affected products for a full refund of the purchase price. If you have any questions, please contact the company by phone at 1-732-675-7935 or email [email protected] (Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET).
