“Smells great,” shout Dollar Tree fans when they spot a $1.25 copy of Sol de Janeiro on the shelves – it’s $30 cheaper than the original
Fans of DOLLAR Tree have hit the jackpot after discovering a $1.25 fake Sol de Janeiro on the discount store’s shelves.
The price is $30 less than the original and buyers complain that the fake “smells great.”

One Reddit user has generously decided against allowing Dollar Tree’s Sol de Janeiro knockoff.
The discounter introduced a new line of Power Stick in the scent Brazilian Mist, which is said to resemble the Cheirosa ’62 perfume by Sol de Janeiro.
Dollar Tree’s line includes a shower gel, body spray and lotion, each priced at $1.25.
“Inspired by Sol de Janeiro Cheirosa ’62 (same scent as their Brazilian Bum Bum Cream). The scent is close enough,” the Reddit user shared.
“The spray is much more effective than the original – but stylistically it seems to be modeled on the Axe Body Spray, so you might want to spray it lightly on the skin.
“Or just spray in the air and walk through,” they recommend, adding: “The shower gel smells great and has a classic lather.”
Dollar Tree’s clone is over $30 cheaper than Sol de Janeiro’s line.
The Power Stick version is advertised with notes of pistachio and salted caramel.
Sol de Janeiro contains both ingredients, paired with notes of almond, jasmine blossom, vanilla, sandalwood and heliotrope.
According to their website, the Cheirosa 62 Perfume Mist costs $38.
The lotion costs between $12 and $48, while the shower gel costs $26.
While Sol de Janeiro has a larger product line with the Cheirosa 62 fragrance, Dollar Tree has gone to great lengths to offer a similar fragrance at a fraction of the original price in a partnership with Power Stick.
