Two women charged with aggressive assault in road traffic
Two women are accused of attacking a man following a car crash near SeaTac Airport. Charges have now been filed against them.
SEATTLE – The Washington State Patrol arrested two suspects in connection with a driving rage attack on July 30. The incident occurred after a car crash near Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.
Around 8 p.m. that evening, state troopers were called to an altercation on westbound SR-518 near the airport. According to charging documents obtained by FOX 13 Seattle, two people in a dark-colored Range Rover were driving “recklessly” and cut off a couple in their 70s near the airport entrance. The cars collided and the suspects, 29-year-old Shalynn Dual and 33-year-old Weldon Carey, got out of their car “angry and belligerent.”
The victims were trying to exchange insurance information with Dual and Carey in the other car when they suddenly attacked the couple, court documents say. Carey attacked the woman through her open window while she was sitting in the passenger seat, charging documents say.
The victims are both in their 70s.
During the scuffle, the victim’s firearm fell to the ground, the suspects grabbed it and drove off in their Range Rover. The victim tried to move, but the suspects hit him with their car, knocking him down, and then sped off.

According to court documents, Carey and Dual are both convicted felons and currently face multiple criminal charges.
Carey was charged with third-degree assault, first- and second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon, and fourth-degree assault. Dual was charged with third-degree assault and first-degree unlawful possession of a weapon.
Both remain in the King County Jail, with Dual being held on $250,000 bail and Carey on $200,000 bail. They are scheduled to appear in court Monday.
