Dollar Tree shopper praises $1.25 bathroom essential that’s 80% cheaper than an Olay product and offers more for the money
A DOLLAR Tree shopper raved about a shower gel that is over five times cheaper than a similar product from a popular cosmetics brand.
The discounter’s cocoa butter shower gel was celebrated as an imitation of Olay’s moisturizing body gel.
YouTuber Danielle Gray (@styleandbeautydoctor) compared the two products in a video on her channel.
Dollar Tree’s Silkience Body Care Cocoa Butter Moisturizing Body Wash costs just $1.25 and comes in a 24-ounce bottle.
The Olay Ultra Moisture Body Wash with Shea Butter has a higher price tag of $6.99 and a slightly smaller volume of 22 ounces.
“At Dollar Tree, you get a little more product,” Gray said of the shower gel.
She told viewers that she was a huge fan of Olay shower gel and explained that Dollar Tree’s knockoff had a lot to offer.
“This will be interesting,” said Gray.
“We have to see if Dollar Tree (shower gel) can be the champion.”
Gray first compared the smell and texture of the two products.
“Oh my God, it smells amazing,” she said of the Dollar Tree shower gel.
“It gives off a caramel ice cream smell.”
Gray seemed to be a huge fan of Dollar Tree’s shower gel scent – she couldn’t stop singing its praises.
“I’m impressed by the smell of Dollar Tree shower gel,” she said.
“It smells like a sweet, gummy, sticky candy.”
Gray preferred the scent of Dollar Tree’s shower gel and admitted that the bottle contained more product than the Olay product.
However, she felt that Olay’s shower gel was more moisturizing.

Dollar Tree Scammers
Savvy shoppers have scoured Dollar Tree to find imitations of their favorite products
In videos on TikTok, Instagram and YouTube, the chain’s imitations are often compared with the original items.
And this shower gel is not the Olay product that Dollar Tree copied.
A TikToker found that the cleanser, hydrating moisturizer and night cream are imitations of Olay’s original products.
Another shopper compared a $1.25 moisturizer from Dollar Tree to a similar product from Neutrogena that costs $18.
