Gigi Hadid knows that you have to play it safe when choosing your outfit for a wedding guest. In a carousel of photos from her summer, the supermodel shared a snap from her friend Liv Perez’s wedding and revealed some style inspiration for her next dress code event.
At the outdoor ceremony, Hadid, who is no doubt used to attracting all the attention, was careful not to steal the show from her friend on her big day and opted for a rather simple (but still stunning) dress by celebrity-favorite brand Magda Butrym.
The taupe-brown turtleneck bodycon ensemble featured long sleeves and draped details along the hips. A row of the designer’s signature rosettes was attached to one side, and the thigh-high slit revealed snakeskin pumps, which were seen in other photos shared by guests.
The look was much better received than her friend Kendall Jenner’s infamous Mônot dress, which she wore to her friend Lauren Perez’s wedding in 2022.
The daring outfit, which showed a lot of skin and cleavage and featured a daring cut-out design from the neck to the lower body, sparked a wave of criticism online from fans who called the dress inappropriate wedding attire.
However, Perez was quick to defend her famous bridesmaid, telling haters that she thought Jenner was “stunning” and “loved it.” Jenner also confirmed to commenters that she had discussed the dress with the bride in advance.
