EVANSTON, Ill. – The Northwestern women’s soccer team will open its 2024 home games with the first game against Marquette on Thursday, August 22nd at 4:00 p.m. CT on B1G+. The first game will be played at Northwestern Medicine Field at Martin Stadium.

Last time outside
Northwestern lost a 2-0 matchup at RV Virginia on Sunday, August 18. UVA scored in the ninth minute and added another in the 44th minute, giving the Wildcats a 2-1 advantage in shots on goal. Maddie Finnerty, Emma PhillipsAnd Tanna chimney played all 90 minutes for NU.

Thursday’s meeting will be the 13th meeting between Northwestern and Marquette on the field. The ‘Cats won the last meeting in the 2023 season opener, 4-0, in Milwaukee. The Golden Eagles enter Thursday’s game 0-1-1 after losing in the season opener at Colorado and drawing at home with Kansas City.
