Pune:

A student sustained injuries when a large tree branch fell on his head near Balgandharva bus stand on Wednesday. The injured man, identified as Aditya Saudagar, was reportedly sitting on a bench when the branch suddenly gave way.

Following the incident, he was taken to Poona Hospital for further medical treatment. Initial reports suggest that Saudagar sustained head injuries and is currently being examined by medical professionals.

Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the branch falling. It appears that it is related to recent heavy rains, which may have weakened the tree’s structure.

Girisha Nimbalkar, senior police inspector of Deccan Police Station, said, “A student was injured in this accident. According to initial information, he suffered a skull fracture. He has been admitted for further medical treatment and his condition is now stable.”
