Being famous is a dream for many, but it definitely has its downsides. Case in point: the endless headlines you get when you’re with a famous couple like Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift. Then there’s Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck, who have faced those critical looks both times they’ve been in a relationship. Rumors have been circulating about the couple for months, relating to their alleged relationship problems and road to divorce. And insiders claim JLo Affleck’s reunion was the “most lavish exercise in closure ever” after dropping millions on the wedding and their marriage.
After Bennifer got married in Vegas, the two A-listers hosted a lavish three-day wedding weekend with multiple wedding dresses and tons of guests. But they apparently ran into some issues, as Affleck and Lopez live separately while continuing to co-parent. An insider spoke to Page Six and claimed that they will finally announce their intention to divorce by the end of the summer. Regarding their two relationships, the insider was quoted as saying:
They’ve put all the unfinished business from over 20 years ago behind them. They’ve seen things through to the end – and they now know for sure that they are not built for the long haul. No more unanswered questions. They’ve seen everything they needed to see, and it’s over. In the end, it will be the most elaborate and expensive final exercise ever.
One can only imagine how much money the couple has spent since reuniting. Aside from their lavish celebrity wedding, the couple also spent $60 million on a mansion to live in with their children. Bennifer hopes to sell it for more than they paid, but will likely still take a financial loss since they put so much work into the home. It definitely sounds like an insanely expensive way to end their first relationship.
While JLo and Affleck have put their marriage up for sale, Ben has reportedly already purchased a new $20 million home for his family, located near his ex Jennifer Garner, in addition to the millions Lopez lost on their couple. This is me…now: A love storyand it looks like the couple lost a lot of money, even for celebrities like them. And that’s not even taking into account the potential legal fees for their alleged divorce proceedings.
If this report from Page Six is to be believed, JLo and Affleck could announce their split sometime next month, before the summer is over. Despite all the headlines that have accompanied them, the two have neither confirmed nor denied what has been going on in their marriage.
