Colombia is a growing business hub that is already home to several large international technology companies. Over the years, the country has excelled in providing software and IT services, to the point that companies like Microsoft and Capgemini, two giants in their respective industries, have opened offices in Bogotá and Medellín. Meanwhile, many local companies have adopted a nearshoring business model to provide software support – especially to organizations based in the United States. As Colombia’s technology industry continues to grow, these are some of the largest companies already operating in the country.

General Motors, or GM, is one of the largest automobile companies in the world and has several factories and offices in South America. The company aims to advance automobile development to create a world with “zero accidents, zero emissions and zero congestion.” The company has already developed electric and self-driving vehicles, as well as a number of other safety features.
