With less than two weeks until the Texas Tech football team’s season opener against Abilene Christian in Lubbock, fall camp is coming to a close. In fact, the Red Raiders are completing a simulated game week this week to get everyone on the same page about what to expect when game week begins in just a few days.
However, the Red Raiders still have some questions to answer, particularly on the offensive line and in the secondary. At both positions, the battle for the starting spots seems likely to continue as long as the coaches allow it before making a final decision.
In fact, these position groups will likely be in flux even as the season begins. That’s especially true in Week 1. Assuming the Red Raiders beat Abilene Christian as planned, the first game of the year could be a live audition for playing time on the offensive line and secondary.
With that in mind, we should have a definitive Red Raiders lineup this time next week, so before that happens, let’s try to predict how the Red Raiders will line up come game one.
