But a video circulating on the Internet has caught the attention of fans.

The Edmonton Oilers player was filmed having fun at the wedding after-party, dancing on the shoulders of teammate Zach Hyman. The video was posted online by Canadian DJs LoudLuxury, although the original is no longer available on their TikTok account.

Copies of the video were shared on social media. In a version posted on X, McDavid can be seen jumping from the DJ booth to the dance floor on Hyman’s shoulders, surrounded by friends.

The following text can be seen in the video: “Connor McDavid finally refutes the accusations that he is a ‘boring hockey guy.'”

On Reddit, users argued about McDavid’s behavior in the comments on a post containing the video.

“But even if McDavid is a ‘boring hockey guy,’ who cares. He’s the best player in the world,” one person wrote.

“He has no verbal personality, that’s why he’s boring,” another person wrote on Reddit.

One commentator was able to find an explanation for why McDavid seems boring, saying that his personality is the “only thing people can really blame him for” since he is such a good player.

“He’s still a little boring now and then, but nowhere near as much as he was in his first few seasons,” the person wrote.

Muskoka is special to the couple because they got engaged there, Kyle told Vogue Australia. The wedding took place on Old Woman Island, a 16-acre island in Lake Muskoka, property rental company Jayne’s Luxury Rentals said in a Facebook post.
