iPhone 16 presented in exclusive hands-on video – here are the new design and the new colors
The iPhone 16 release is getting closer and closer. Of course, Google is holding its “Made by Google” event to unveil the Pixel 9 first, but that doesn’t stop Apple fans (and leakers) from focusing on the new iPhone. The latest leak shows all five iPhone 16 colors in a hands-on video, giving us a good idea of what to expect from Apple’s upcoming phone.
The color leak comes from Aaron Zollo’s Zollotech YouTube channel and shows five dummy iPhone 16 units (there are no internals, just a glimpse of the outside of the phone). If the leak is true, we could get the iPhone 16 in blue, green, white, black, and pink.
Look further
Either Apple is making a major design change to the colors on the iPhone 16, or this leak is inaccurate. Unlike the softer finish of the iPhone 15 (and most previous models), the colors on the iPhone 16 are very vibrant. I like the brighter look of these dummy phones and I hope the leak is accurate, as it will make the devices stand out a lot more.
If the leak is real, Apple may forgo the look and feel of frosted glass and opt for a more opaque look.
A previous X-post by leaker Sonny Dickson lends more credibility to the leak. The colors posted there match those in the Zollotech video, so it’s possible that both of these leaks are real. On the other hand, both leakers could have received fake iPhone 16 models.
The models shown in the video have an action button, which could mean that it is no longer exclusive to Apple’s Pro models. There is also an additional button on the bottom right of the phone, which is said to be a capture button for photos and videos.
As previously rumored, the iPhone 16 dummy devices feature vertically stacked cameras. This will allow the new iPhone to record spatial videos that you can then view through headsets like the Apple Vision Pro and Meta Quest 3.
Furthermore, the video claims that the iPhone 16’s screen has grown from 6.1 to 6.3 inches and has thinner bezels. This is a bit of a surprise since we’ve only heard rumors so far that the iPhone 16 Pro will get a larger display.
Luckily, the phones are set to be unveiled next month, so we don’t have to wait too long to find out if Zollotech has real dummy iPhone 16 phones on our hands or if we’ve fallen for fakes.
