Conservatives find the situation in Chicago at this year’s Democratic National Convention (DNC) particularly “strange” as they seek to reverse a retort against Republicans.

Planned Parenthood Great Rivers of St. Louis is offering free abortion medications and vasectomies during the convention from a “mobile health clinic” parked in Chicago. Since former President Trump nominated Sen. J.D. Vance as his running mate last month, many Democrats have attacked the Republican candidates as “weird,” a line of attack repeated ad nauseam by Harris’ surrogates and media allies.

Comedian Tim Young finds it “so strange” that Democrats are calling Vance odd even though he has what “normal people” would call a solid nuclear family.

“I think even a pro-choice advocate who takes abortion so seriously that he would sign up for an abortion at the DNC for fun is weird,” Young told Fox News Digital.

“Even if you’re pro-choice, abortion is not something you take lightly,” Young continued. “It’s never an easy issue and definitely not something you do on the side of the road next to a falafel truck.”

The Planned Parenthood branch pointed out that there was a waiting list for vasectomies during the event. Young added that “a man thinking, ‘Oh, I could get a discount on a vasectomy if it hits the truck before the DNC,’ is also weird.”

Young recently mocked the DNC in Case X, saying it was “like going to a taco truck for perfectly normal people.”

The message was featured on the show “Outnumbered,” where co-host Kayleigh McEnany said it felt like the left was “celebrating” abortion.

“It’s also total theater,” said co-host Emily Compagno.

“All along we’ve heard that the Democratic Party, unlike the Republican Party, really cares about the plight of underserved communities and underserved women,” she continued. “So if that were true, then why isn’t this going… to those underserved communities? Why is it going where all the media is camped out in a convention hall?”

Tammy Bruce added that classical liberals wanted to make abortion “safe, legal and rare” but found the spectacle at the DNC “macabre,” and Charlie Hurt called it “very bizarre” and “strange.”

The Babylon Bee, a satirical website that regularly pokes fun at liberals, published the parodic headline “DNC Turns Chicago River Red to Celebrate Abortion.”

“For the convention, it was decided to paint the river blood red to emphasize the Democrats’ tireless dedication to slaughtering as many defenseless babies as possible,” the Bee wrote.

Democrats have made abortion a central theme of their national campaigns this election year, warning, among other things, that a Republican majority in Congress and another four years in the White House for former President Trump would mean a nationwide ban.

Since the overturning of Roe v. Wade and the inauguration of Vice President Kamala Harris to succeed President Biden, the Democratic Party has doubled down on its rhetoric around “women’s right to choose.”

Curtis Houck, editor-in-chief of NewsBusters, believes the mainstream media is “betraying itself to the American people by not seeing a problem with the abortion truck parked in front of the DNC.”

“The fact that they don’t have the heart to at least pretend on camera that it’s a positive thing shows that they’re either perfectly happy with this lifestyle or too cowardly to talk about it,” Houck told Fox News Digital, noting that the truck hasn’t received much criticism from the press.

“Planned Parenthood is one of the liberal media’s favorite interest groups and likes to play Ron Burgundy with the teleprompter on any talking point presented to them. That they have said so little or nothing about their presence shows that even they know this is embarrassing and not something to brag about in front of swing voters,” Houck said.

It is not only conservatives who are against the abortion truck; the organization “Democrats For Life” also responded to the “shameful” stunt by offering free diapers.

“Providing free abortions at the DNC is a disturbing display of disrespect for human life and motherhood, as it ignores the need to provide support and options for pregnant women. We expect nothing less from Planned Parenthood. It is simply shameful how low the Democrats have sunk,” wrote Kristen Day, executive director of Democrats For Life, on X.

A group called Americans for Contraception erected a 18-foot-high inflatable spiral called the Freeda Womb, which was also criticized by conservatives as bizarre.

Young believes that “we will see the craziest of the crazies at the convention” and that the party has drifted from progressive ideas to “craziness” in recent years.

“I think when this is all over, the drag queen story hour at your local progressive library will look like a normal walk in the park. The only people who take these people seriously are indoctrinated college students and suburban white spinsters with cats who get their news from ‘The View,'” he said.
