If you are like me, your sons and daughters probably ask incessantly when Sonic the Hedgehog 3, Dog Man, Minecraftand other children’s films that will soon be hitting the screen. Seriously, this is a question that is asked again and again, and after reading the Cinema program 2024 and list of upcoming movies 2025 and took notes, I decided to put them all together in one place.

Below you will find a complete list of all the new family-friendly movies coming soon to the big screen and when we can see them. From upcoming video game movies to some highly anticipated Book adaptations and much more, there is much that will make the young and the young at heart happy in the foreseeable future.

Transformers One – September 20, 2024

There were all kinds of Transformers movies over the years, but the latest entry in the series will do something drastically different. Josh Cooley’s Transformers Onewhich was on 1 20 September 2024is an animated origin story that delves into the past of Optimus Prime (Chris Hemsworth) and Megatron (Brian Tyree Henry) and shows how they went from best friends to bitter enemies.

The Wild Robot – September 27, 2024

One of the most interesting upcoming science fiction films in the calendar, DreamWorks Animation The wild robot looks like one of those cinema experiences that leaves us both excited and emotional when it starts 27 September 2024The film follows Rozzum (Lupita Nyong’o), an abandoned robot who becomes a mother figure to a young goose as she navigates her new home.

Piece by piece – October 11, 2024

If you were to create a Venn diagram with a documentary, a Lego movie and a biographical drama, the result would be piece by piecethe upcoming music biopic about Pharrell Williams. Set to hit theaters on October 11, 2024, this unique film tells the life story of the Grammy-winning musician/rapper/producer and what drives him. Fans and newcomers alike are sure to find something to enjoy.

Hitpig – November 1, 2024

One of the more mysterious upcoming children’s films, Punch Pig will be on 1. 1 November 2024when it tells the audience a story about a bounty hunter pig who ends up becoming the traveling companion of an elephant he was tasked with capturing. Rainn Wilson, Jason Sudeikis and RuPaul star in a series that sounds like an animated version of Midnight Run.

The best Christmas game ever – November 8, 2024

The Christmas film season begins on 8 November 2024with the publication of The best Christmas game ever. Based on the 1972 novel of the same name by Barbara Robinson, the upcoming film from Dallas Jenkins follows a family (led by Judy Greer and Pete Holmes) planning their church’s big Christmas show. Planning turns into a difficult task when a family of daredevils joins the cast.

Red One – November 15, 2024

A Christmas movie starring two of the biggest action stars of the last decade? That’s exactly what we’ll see when Dwayne Johnson and Chris Evans team up to save Santa Claus. Jake Kasdan RednessAlthough this film is rated PG-13, it will not be too extreme for the whole family if it is 15 November 2024and you don’t have to worry about being a level four naughty person when you watch it.

Moana 2 – November 27, 2024

Perhaps the biggest upcoming Disney movie in the calendar, Vaiana 2 – The Great Adventure takes audiences on another great adventure with the title character of Auliʻi Cravalho, who once again teams up with Maui (Dwayne Johnson) to save the world.

Mufasa: The Lion King – December 20, 2024

To December 20, 2024, Barry Jenkins’ Mufasa – The Lion Kinggoes back to the beginnings of the ill-fated King of the Pride Lands and tells the story of how Simba’s father went from an abandoned boy to one of Disney’s most beloved characters. If you’re a fan of Disney live-action films, you won’t want to miss this episode.

Sonic The Hedgehog 3 – December 20, 2024

The blue spot and some of his closest friends will return to the screen for the next adventures in Jeff Fowler Sonic the Hedgehog 3The highly anticipated film is set to hit theaters on December 20, 2024, and will see Sonic (Ben Schwartz) face off against his longtime nemesis Dr. Robotnik (Jim Carrey) and a new enemy, Shadow the Hedgehog (Keanu Reeves).

Paddington in Peru – January 17, 2025

When Paddington in Peru opens To January 17, 2025it heralds both a new year in cinema and a new adventure for everyone’s favourite marmalade-obsessed bear. Paddington, voiced by Ben Whishaw, sets out once again to search for his beloved Aunt Lucy (Imelda Staunton) deep in the Amazon rainforest.

Dog Man – January 31, 2024

Do you have a fan of the Dog Man Graphic novels in your home? If so, you are in for a real treat, as the upcoming adaptation of Dav Pilkey’s popular book series about a half-dog, half-human cop is coming to January 31, 2024.

The Smurfs – The Movie – February 14, 2025

These iconic blue creatures will make a comeback when The Smurfs comes to the big screen on February 14, 2025. Not much is known about Chris Miller’s adaptation, but the cast is packed with the likes of Rihanna, Nick Offerman, Dan Levy, Hannah Waddingham, and many others.

The Unbreakable Boy – February 21, 2025

To February 21, 2025Jon Gunn brings The unbreakable boy to life and tells the story of Austin LeRette (Jacob Laval), a young boy who tries to live his life despite his bone disease. In this heartwarming story, Zachary Levi will also play the boy’s supportive father.

Snow White – March 21, 2025

One of the largest upcoming Disney live-action remakes come to the big screen, Marc Webbs Snow White Rachel Zegler plays the iconic title character as she encounters a group of feisty dwarves deep in the forest. Gal Gadot will step in as the evil queen when the film opens April 27. March 21, 2025.

Minecraft – April 4, 2025

The Minecraft film is something we have been hearing about for years, but 4 April 2025we’ll finally find out what all the fuss is about. The star-studded video game movie will see stars like Jason Momoa, Jack Black, and Danielle Brooks step into the popular sandbox game.

Elio – June 13, 2025

Pixar’s ElioAnother film we have been talking about for years is finally coming to the big screen on June 13, 2025. This film follows the title character Yonas Kibreab, who embarks on an intergalactic journey after being mistaken for Earth’s ambassador to the rest of the universe.

How to Train Your Dragon – June 13, 2025

Fans of the How to train your dragon Animation franchise will be pleased to hear that the long-awaited live-action remake is expected to arrive on June 14, 2025Although Jay Baruchel will not appear as Hiccup Haddock III, Gerard Butler will reprise his role.

The Evil Ones 2 – August 1, 2025

If you love The bad guys and couldn’t get enough of its talented cast, wild animation or wonderful story, you are in for a treat because The bad guys 2 is scheduled to open on 1 August 2025And best of all: Deadline has reported that the creative team and cast, including Sam Rockwell, will return.

Zootopia 2 – November 26, 2025

Almost a decade after the release of its predecessor Zootopia 2 will be released in cinemas To 26 November 2025. Not much is known about the project at this time, but Ginnifer Goodwin and Jason Bateman will return as Judy and Nick, respectively, while Ke Huy Quan will appear as a new character named Gary.

The fourth film in the series, The SpongeBob Movie: The Search for SquarePants will be in cinemas on December 19, 2025more than 25 years after the show debuted on Nickelodeon.

Super Mario Bros. 2 – April 3, 2026

The Super Mario Bros. 2 film was a sure thing once its 2023 predecessor dominated the box office. We are still a few years away from its 3 April 2026 release, so look out for more information soon.
