Nothing Phone 2a Plus announced for US release, but you can’t buy it yet

The Nothing Phone 2a Plus is finally coming to the US for $399. The device is available through Nothing’s beta program.

Nothing has released an update to its newly released budget Android phone, the Nothing Phone 2a. The Nothing Phone 2a Plus features an updated chipset, faster charging speeds, and an improved selfie camera.

With all these updates, the 2a Plus costs $399, which is $50 more than the Nothing 2a. It is now available in international markets like the US and UK.

However, buyers in the US who want to purchase the device will need to sign up for Nothing’s beta program, wait for limited stock to arrive, and then click the “Buy Now” button.

This isn’t the first time the company has sold its devices through the beta program. All previous Nothing phones released in the US were made available through this method.

The beta program is similar to the invite system used by OnePlus, the previous company of Nothing founder Carl Pei. This system helps Nothing limit inventory in new regions and maintain hype around the devices.

Nothing Phone 2a Plus – Technical specifications

In the US, the Nothing Phone 2a Plus features a MediaTek Dimensity 7350 Pro 5G processor with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. It has a 50MP selfie camera and a dual rear camera with two 50MP sensors.

A 5000mAh battery powers the device and supports 50W fast wired charging. The phone ships with Android 14 and retains its unique Glyph interface, similar to the Nothing Phone 2a.

The Nothing Phone 2a Plus will have limited 5G capability in the US. Due to limited 5G compatibility, the phone will only support 4G on AT&T and Verizon’s networks. Only T-Mobile users will have limited 5G connectivity.

In the UK, the phone will cost £399 and can be purchased online and offline. Availability in other regions has not yet been announced.
