SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – LMU’s Kylie Dobbs and Santa Clara’s Caroline Gray helped their teams to two wins in the opening week of the 2024 season and were named Credit Union One West Coast Conference women’s soccer player of the week. Dobbs was named Credit Union One WCC offensive player of the week, while Gray was named Credit Union One WCC defensive player of the week.
CREDIT UNION ONE WCC OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – KYLIE DOBBS, SR., F – LMU
Dobbs scored the first goal of the season against UC Santa Barbara from 30 yards out, beating the goalkeeper in the upper right corner of the net. She also hit the post against the Gauchos, forcing another key scoring opportunity for LMU. She then scored a brace against UC Davis on Saturday, scoring twice in the first half of the Lions’ 3-2 win over the Aggies.

CREDIT UNION ONE WCC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – CAROLINE GRAY, SR., D – SANTA CLARA
Gray played the full 90 minutes in Santa Clara’s two Week 1 wins over San Jose State (4-0) and California (2-1). Gray led a defense that allowed just one goal in two games, which came on a penalty shot. She also scored a shot against the Golden Bears.
