Popular TV news reporter/anchor leaves NBC Connecticut

CONNECTICUT – Television news reporter and anchor Jane Caffrey recently announced that she has left NBC Connecticut, where she had worked for the past three years.

“I can’t thank each and every one of you enough – my supportive team, those of you who have worked with me on amazing stories over the years, everyone who turns on the news every night at 7,” Caffrey wrote on Facebook.

She has already landed a new job, but declined to say where, only referring to another television market.

“Even though I’m moving to a new television market, Connecticut will always have a very special place in my heart. Thank you to everyone who made the last three years so memorable,” she said.

“I am extremely grateful to have known you all and to have spent this time exploring beautiful New England.”

Before joining NBC Connecticut, Caffrey spent three years as an evening news anchor at WDBJ-TV in Roanoke, Virginia. Before that, she worked as a reporter and weekend anchor at KRIS-TV in Corpus Cristi, Texas.

She also worked as a producer for CNN for four years.

Caffrey earned a Bachelor of Arts from Carleton College and a Master of Arts in News and Documentary Film from New York University.
