Man accused of raping and abusing three women in Clarksville motels, faces federal weapons charges

NASHVILLE – A Clarksville man has been charged in federal court with robbery, rape and assault of three women he met on dates.

Kenneth Moore, 45, has been charged with brandishing a weapon during the robberies and possession of a firearm as a felon, said Henry C. Leventis, U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of Tennessee.

On three separate occasions between October 2023 and February 2024, Moore arranged dates with women at motels in Clarksville and then robbed, raped, beat and pistol-whipped them, the release said. All three women were treated for their injuries at local hospitals.

Moore was arrested by Clarksville police on February 29. A grand jury in the Middle District of Tennessee indicted him on July 17, and he made his initial appearance in federal court in Nashville on August 16.

If convicted, Moore faces a minimum of seven years and up to life in prison for weapons offenses, up to 20 years for robbery and up to 15 years for weapons possession. If Moore is classified as an armed career criminal, he faces 15 years to life in prison, the press release states.

This case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Clarksville Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorneys Kathryn Risinger and Monica R. Morrison are prosecuting the case.
