Atalanta and Stuttgart have reportedly an oral agreement was made for El Bilal Touré to continue his career in the Bundesliga. Fabrizio Romano, The God receives around 18 million euros for the club’s record transfer and is ready to sign a five-year contract at the Mercedes-Benz Arena.

Toure only joined Atalanta from Almeria last summer. Gian Pier Gasperini’s side broke the bank to sign the 22-year-old centre-forward, flushing an incredible €30 million into the Spanish club’s coffers. It was a rare mistake by the Bergamo team.

Touré played little for Atalanta last season due to a long-term injury, but he made his Serie A debut for the Europa League winners in February, coming on as a late substitute in a 4-1 win over Genoa and scoring on his first appearance for the club.

He made 17 appearances in all competitions, but a disappointing tally of three goals and one assist was hardly enough to La Dea’s Expectations. Toure has failed to live up to his price tag and it is hardly a surprise that Atalanta have have decided to sell.

Talks between Atalanta and Stuttgart are well advanced, with only the final details missing before Toure joins the Bundesliga giants. Like Gasperini’s team, the Germans secured Champions League qualification last season and, against all expectations, finished second behind Bayer Leverkusen.

Toure’s impending arrival is expected to compensate for the transfer of Serhou Guirassy to Borussia Dortmund. Atalanta, meanwhile, will likely have to look to the market again to fill the vacancy.
