Actress Kangana Ranaut, who is known for her bold and controversial statements, recently appeared on Raj Shamani’s podcast and revealed that she refused to work with stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Ranbir Kapoor and Akshay Kumar. She even revealed why she doesn’t attend Bollywood parties.

The actress was quoted as saying, “I am not a Bollywood guy, I definitely cannot be friends with Bollywood people. Bollywood people are so conceited. They are stupid, they are dumb, protein shakes… They are like locusts, completely expressionless. How can you be friends with such people? They have no idea what is going on. They don’t have conversations.”

She added, “I have turned down films in which Khan is the lead. All the Khans are very nice to me, they are very friendly to me and they have never misbehaved with me. Yes, there are people who have misbehaved with me but Khans were not among them. But I turned down their films because their films are prototypes where the heroine has two scenes and a song. So I said I don’t want to do that. I want to be an example of an A-list woman, the best actress who has not worked with Khans.”

Everything about emergencies

The film is inspired by the infamous Indian Emergency and Kangana Ranaut will play the role of former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. In addition, Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Mahima Chaudhry and Milind Soman have also been roped in for significant roles in the drama.

Bankrolled by Manikarnika Films and EaseMyTrip, the film’s songs and background score are composed by GV Prakash Kumar. Besides playing the lead role, Kangana Ranaut has also produced Emergency.
