Vice President Kamala Harris recently participated in a phone campaign to gain the support of local Democrats. The event took place at the Harris campaign field office in Beaver County, where Harris had a brief but powerful conversation with a resident of Erie, Pennsylvania.
Harris was accompanied by Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff and Minnesota First Lady Gwen Walz. Together they visited the campaign’s field office in Rochester and actively participated in telemarketing by speaking to supporters.
Also present during the event to show their support were Senator Bob Casey, Representative Chris Deluzio, State Representative Malcolm Kenyatta and Beaver Falls Mayor Kenya Johns.
Highlights of the event included a phone call between Harris and a supporter in which she expressed her thanks and promised to visit the person at the next campaign stop in Erie.
Harris stressed the importance of the upcoming election and emphasized the importance of everyone’s participation. She stressed that this election is considered the most important of our lifetime and called on all citizens to actively participate in the democratic process.
