Jamie Lee Curtis calls Lindsay Lohan her “ULTIMATE movie daughter” in a post reflecting on filming “Freakier Friday”

Jamie Lee Curtis looks back on her time filming ‘Freakier Friday’ and says she is “especially grateful” for Lindsay Lohan, who she called her “ULTIMATE screen daughter.”

Curtis, who shared the Instagram post on Friday along with a black-and-white photo of herself, announced that filming on “Freakier Friday,” a sequel to the 2003 classic “Freaky Friday,” is entering its final stages.

“Last FRIDAY of this CRAZIEST FRIDAY, or should I call it CRY DAYS,” Curtis wrote at the beginning of her caption, adding, “We still have a few days left next week.”

Next, Curtis thanked Lohan, whose mother she played in the 2003 Body Swap and will play again in the upcoming film.

“I’m especially thankful for my ULTIMATE film daughter @lindsaylohan without whom we couldn’t have made this film,” she wrote.

Curtis also said that Lohan gave her a shirt after Curtis admired Lohan’s outfit.

“She gifted me a @suziekondi shirt after I complimented her on hers and I wore it today in her honor. Off to the wig and get to work,” Curtis wrote.

Curtis ended her message by recounting the excitement she experienced at Disney’s D23 fan event last weekend, where the film’s title, “Freakier Friday,” was announced.

In the sequel to “Freaky Friday,” Curtis and Lohan reprise their roles as mother and daughter Tess and Anna Coleman.

Lohan recently spoke to “Good Morning America” about her relationship with Curtis.

“Jamie and I have stayed in touch over the years,” Lohan said. “They always say when you have a best friend or someone you’re really close with and you don’t get to see them for years and then you see them again, it’s like you never parted.”

Disney is the parent company of ABC News and Good Morning America.
