More scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected to move through parts of the region at times on Saturday. The exact timing is uncertain. Partly sunny weather is also expected. I wouldn’t cancel any outdoor plans for Saturday, but keep an eye on the skies and radar on the StormTrack 5 app.

Isolated heavy thunderstorms with showers and gusty winds in places are possible through Saturday evening. Precipitation amounts through Sunday are likely to be between 0.33″ and 1.25″ in most areas (with lower and higher amounts locally).

Scattered showers and possibly thunderstorms are still forecast for Sunday and Monday. Temperatures will be cooler on Sunday, at around 27 degrees. On Monday and Tuesday temperatures will be above 21 degrees.

Tuesday and Wednesday will be drier (with cooler nights and lower humidity). Wednesday morning we could be near a record low (the record is 53 degrees in 2012).

Maximum temperatures on Wednesday and Thursday will be above 27 degrees and the probability of rain remains low.

We are monitoring Hurricane Ernesto. It will impact Bermuda by Saturday and move into the North Atlantic early next week. Increased surf backflow is expected on the US East Coast.

The normal high temperature this time of year in the Tri-Cities is 86. The normal low temperature is 63.
