Storms return on Sunday, with rain likely to persist throughout the working week

NEXT 48 HOURS:

On Saturday evening the sky will be clear and temperatures will be between 27 and 30 degrees. The probability of rain is less than 10 percent.

Sunday begins pleasantly with temperatures between 21 and 25 degrees, partly cloudy skies, a light southerly wind and high humidity.

Rain will begin early Sunday afternoon, with temperatures peaking at around 35 degrees Celsius, with winds from the south and southwest as clouds form. The heat index puts the perceived temperatures between 35 and 38 degrees Celsius.

Average temperatures at this time of year range between 24 and 32 degrees Celsius. This week, maximum temperatures will be slightly above average for the start of the week.

The probability of rain this week remains between 30 and 70 percent. A cold front will cause storms on Monday.

Towards the end of the week, there could be a large-scale storm between Thursday and Friday.
