WWE steals the show at Fanatics Fest, other sports legends also in attendance: “An incredible time”

Complain that it’s “fake” all you want. The WWE is loved by many people around the world.

WWE stars packed Fanatics Fest on Saturday, and with all the costumes at the Javits Center in New York, you’d have thought it was Halloween.

The WWE exhibit, which allowed fans to walk out of a tunnel to the music of their favorite wrestlers, was by far the most attractive at the convention.

Of all the legendary athletes and Hall of Famers in attendance Saturday, including Barry Sanders, Cal Ripken Jr., Adrian Peterson and Jerry Rice, the WWE stars were the only group to have all of their photo ops and autograph signings sold out.

When Paul “Triple H” Levesque walked into the pop-up club 40/40, the crowd lined up for several rows to get a glimpse of him, a reception comparable to the reception usually given to Kevin Durant and Travis Scott. Levesque even surprised fans by showing up at the company’s showcase to his own music, which resulted in a mob following him and his security team.

It’s safe to say it’s been a great time for the company, says WWE host Peter Rosenberg.

“The growth of the company has been insane. It’s been one of the greatest times in the history of the company,” Rosenberg told Fox News Digital at Fanatics Fest on Saturday.

“It was a really cool time. I’ve been here since the end of 2016 and when I see how the whole thing has developed from when I first joined to today – I don’t want to take all the credit for myself – then it’s been a great time and I’m really excited about what’s to come.”

Triple H took over as the company’s chief content officer and creative director – he’s effectively the top boss – shortly after his father-in-law Vince McMahon retired amid a misconduct investigation.

Who knows if he wanted the role or if he signed up for it, but during his tenure he has nailed virtually every storyline.

“Triple H is obviously a fantastic example of what’s happening creatively,” Rosenberg said. “He’s done a fantastic job executing his vision and it’s just a really cool time for the company.”
