gossip Girl-Alumna Blake Lively is known for her flawless style and effortless beauty. But in the August issue of fashionLively doesn’t talk about her impeccable wardrobe, but prefers to talk about her private life.
The actress is opening up about her husband of nearly two years, Ryan Reynolds, and their strictly private 2012 wedding in South Carolina. And while we never got to see a full-body photo of the star’s custom Marchesa wedding dress, we now know a new detail about the surely stunning gown: It’s burned.

“Florence Welch was singing at the reception and they brought out these sparklers and I was watching her sing,” Lively says. “I look down and my wedding dress has a big burn mark from one of the sparklers. Right in the front!”
The blonde beauty says she was “heartbroken” over the incident, but Reynolds helped her put it in perspective. “Ryan said, ‘Isn’t that beautiful… You’ll always remember that moment with Florence singing and the sparklers. You have that preserved forever, right there.’ That’s my favorite part of the dress.”

The way Reynolds helps her see life is one of the most beautiful aspects of marriage, she explains. She also shared how her husband helps her with Preserveher very own Goop-style lifestyle website by contributing some of his personal writing, which is, in Lively’s words, “beautiful.”
And it’s safe to say the couple will have children: “He’s going to be a great father, leader and patriarch – he’s destined to be all of those things,” Lively says. “The fact that he’s already experienced so much before we got together shows that he’s exactly the person he was meant to be. And so I get to share my life with the person he’s become, and we can grow from there.”
It sounds like married life is really good for these two!
