Huawei’s triple-folding phone has been spotted in the real world again and appears to be quite thin

A few days ago, a leak surfaced showing Huawei’s tri-folding phone being used in the real world by none other than the company’s former CEO Richard Yu. The device was spotted with a dual-hinged tri-folding screen that allows for two folds. In addition, there is said to be a punch-hole selfie camera in the center of the leftmost inner display.

Interestingly, according to some images shared by the informant WHYLAB on Chinese social media platform Weibo, Huawei’s tri-fold phone was used again in the real world by the same executive.

The difference between the two discoveries is that the previous leak showed the phone fully unfolded, but this time around, Huawei’s tri-fold phone was photographed folded. The images also reportedly show how thin the device is even when folded, suggesting it could be comparable to many foldable phones currently on the market.

The images also show a large camera bump on the back of Huawei’s tri-fold phone. Rumors suggest that the phone could have a 10-inch internal display (fully unfolded) and also come with a premium price tag.

It was previously reported that the phone might be powered by HiSilicon’s Kirin 9 series chipset, which is expected to debut with the Huawei Mate 70 series. However, with the triple-folding phone speculated to launch earlier than the Huawei Mate 70 series, the Kirin 9 series chipset might be unveiled earlier than planned.

According to rumors, Huawei might launch the triple-folding phone only in China, while it might not be available in the US and other regions, at least not officially. Although there is no confirmed launch date, speculations suggest that the world’s first triple-folding phone could launch between September and October this year. Since these are just leaks and nothing concrete, we recommend you take every piece of information with skepticism.
