The original star excitedly confirmed that she “on board” to return as Shirley for the film sequel to the cult classic sitcom, and promises that it will be “will happen” after various delays in the start of filming. It’s going to happen! We don’t know when, but I’m in. And that could be a big deal because it wasn’t confirmed for a long time. It was supposed to happen this June, but because of the (SAG-AFTRA) strike last year, everything got postponed.
