NOC and AGOCO launch tree planting campaign at all AGOCO locations

Libya’s state-owned National Oil Corporation (NOC) and its subsidiary, the Arabian Gulf Oil Company (AGOCO), today announced the launch of a “comprehensive reforestation campaign” for all company sites.

‎The announcement followed a meeting between the NOC’s Director of Sustainable Development and the Chairman of AGOCO’s Management Committee in Benghazi on Thursday. ‎

‎The meeting discussed ways to improve cooperation in the field of environmental protection and sustainable development. It was ultimately agreed to launch a comprehensive reforestation campaign at all the company’s sites to create more green spaces, improve air quality and contribute to achieving sustainable development.‎

The parties also agreed to form a working group to identify suitable locations for tree planting and to develop a concrete timetable for the implementation of the campaign.
