Charlie Sheen’s forgotten crime film from 1992, Beyond the lawAccording to an informant, the gang is very precise. An undercover agent tried to infiltrate the club. The Hells Angels had several undercover agents who tried to infiltrate the club. One of them was Jay Dobyns. It wasn’t until they did the raids that they finally caught him. And there was another incident with Tony Tait. He also wasn’t discovered until they did the raids. He came to Minnesota, our club was monitoring the members who were attending the meeting, and we had a bug detector. He saw that we were checking people and he got scared. So I had a little experience with that kind of situation.

From what I see here, Charlie Sheen is trying to build his cover so they don’t find out he’s working for law enforcement. In my experience, I’ve never worked undercover or anything like that. Most of the time I was just confirming what I was doing in my business. Two people went to prison for this, one was a Hells Angel and one was my source. By the time I decided to cooperate, I was already in prison. I ended up in federal prison for drugs, and if I didn’t cooperate, they would charge me with continuing criminal association after they found enough informants. And so at that point, because of my family and my age, I decided I was going to cooperate. Who knows how long I would have done on the other charge. It could have been life.

I was a badass Hells Angel and I don’t regret being a Hells Angel. I regret some of my actions as a Hells Angel. That’s on me. When I got out of prison, I was asked to give seminars to the police. I just told them about my life experiences and what happened to me and how they can maybe stop using drugs if they can. That’s a 10, you know, or a 9 or a 10 because it actually happens.

Beyond the law is extremely accurate, especially in its depiction of covert police infiltration of motorcycle clubs, as writer-director Larry Ferguson conducted extensive research for the film. He wrote the script after reading the article “Undercover Angel” by Lawrence Linderman, published in a 1981 edition playboywhich tells the true experiences of Dan Black, an undercover agent who infiltrated a notorious outlaw motorcycle club in the late 1970s and early 1980s.

The story of Sheen’s character in Beyond the lawDan Saxon, follows closely the actual undercover operation of Blackwhich gives the film a strong basis in facts and a high degree of realism. Black even served as a technical advisor on the film and had a cameo appearance as an extra in the film due to his immense contributions.
