BBC Sport has made its predictions for the 2024/25 Premier League season.

On television and radio, BBC Sport employs a large number of experts to report on games.

There is also a very broad spectrum of backgrounds, they have been fans of numerous clubs since childhood and have played for clubs of all kinds.

So there is no real reason to believe that they might be biased in their decisions, right?

Certainly not when 30 of them are asked for their collective opinion…

Therefore, BBC Sport asked the following people for their thoughts on what will happen at the top of the Premier League.

19 out of 30 predicted that Manchester City will win the Premier League title in the 2024/25 season.

However, Arsenal are now seen as a real threat with 11 votes. Apart from the two that finished in the top two last season, no other club had any hopes of winning the Premier League.

So what do the 30 BBC sports experts predict to finish top four in the overall standings?

This is the breakdown of how many of the 30 “experts” chose each club as one of their four selections:

It must be said that there was not much imagination here either, or not much going on out of line, as Liverpool is automatically considered the winner of the other four top spots by 27 of the 30.

This means that the 30 BBC sports experts collectively believe there is only one more place for the others to fight for.

I find it a bit bizarre that Tottenham get a whopping 11 votes, followed by Chelsea with seven, Newcastle and Man U with six each. Villa have just two votes and are not considered a serious contender this time, while West Ham get that single vote of confidence.
