Siemens Xcelerator partner ecosystem strengthened by AI-powered field service and asset management solution from IFS

Siemens Smart Infrastructure has expanded its Siemens Xcelerator partner ecosystem to include the AI-driven field service and asset management suite from IFS, the world leader in industrial AI and enterprise software for companies managing complex assets, operations and service-oriented activities.

The powerful SaaS solution includes AI-powered asset monitoring and a planning and optimization engine that enables improved resource utilization and uptime of substation assets. By adding IFS’s cutting-edge industrial AI suite to the Siemens Xcelerator partner ecosystem, an open ecosystem of certified partners, Siemens has expanded its offering to provide unprecedented end-to-end value to customers in the utilities, industrial and critical infrastructure sectors.

This latest portfolio expansion addresses key challenges customers face, including aging infrastructure, supply chain constraints, lack of visibility into critical spare parts and inventory management, and a shortage of experienced personnel. By integrating real-time asset performance data with automated workflows, parts management, and field service execution, the solution enables companies to optimize maintenance strategies and reduce operating costs.

“Our customers face complex challenges, including the need to increase their productivity, optimize operating costs and minimize downtime while achieving sustainability goals. Technology that supports the entire asset and service lifecycle is therefore critical, as sustainability success depends on how well you manage and maintain your enterprise assets,” said Stephan May, CEO of Electrification and Automation at Siemens Smart Infrastructure. “By adding the IFS suite to Siemens Xcelerator, our customers benefit from an expanded offering that optimally complements our newly launched Electrification X portfolio.”

Siemens Electrification X Asset Management applications now leverage APIs to offer fully automated information flows – data sourced from IoT sensors and enriched by Siemens domain analytics – for use in IFS’ industry-leading AI-powered suite. This enables the triggering of automated work orders, inspection checks, inventory and spare parts management for critical substation assets. Customers benefit from a single view where they can see unified data from multiple sources, providing them with insight into asset health and enterprise-wide automated work orders, inventory and spare parts management, saving them costly capital and operational costs. The unique value proposition lies in IFS’ ability to identify the detected asset anomalies from Siemens systems, log them automatically, display them in lobbies, create required tickets, assign work to the right crew at the right time, dispatch the crew and execute them on site.

“We are excited to be part of the Siemens Xcelerator partner ecosystem,” said James Lewis, Head of the Service Management Business Unit at IFS. “With the end-to-end value of our joint solution, from problem detection to resolution, our customers benefit from a powerful SaaS application that provides fully automated information flows for AI-powered condition assessments of critical assets, to ensuring service availability by optimizing and scheduling field service and asset utilization in substations.”
